What is Wikidata?
It’s a free and open knowledge base linked to Wikipedia. Like Wikipedia, Wikidata is also source of information crawled and trusted by search engines. For this reason, Wikidata can be a powerful discoverability tool.
Wikidata and the performing arts
This workshop series is part of a larger project aiming to model and populate performing arts data in Wikidata. This project is led by CAPACOA and the Conseil québécois du théâtre, with LaCogency. The project is funded by the Canada Council for the Arts, the Government of Canada, the Wikimedia Foundation, and the Government of Québec.
