Kathleen Smith is a Toronto-based writer, filmmaker, web designer and curator. Co- founder of the Moving Pictures Festival of Dance on Film and Video and former editor of The Dance Current magazine, Smith investigates issues in performance and culture through a variety of means. With Philip Szporer in Montreal, Smith is part of the collective dance + words, which is dedicated to developing ideas around cultural discourse through projects such as Critical Conversations and the Wikipedia Dance Project.
