Intro to Wikidata – Making Canadian Artists Stand Out In The Digital World

September 16, 2020 @ 1:00 pm - 2:00 pm EDT

This workshop will offer an introduction to Wikidata and other Wikimedia collaborative platforms. Wikidata is a free, open, structured data platform that anyone can edit. Adding information to Wikidata can boost the visibility of Canadian artists on the web and contribute to the interconnection of information across platforms. The workshop will include brief step-by-step instructions for editing information related to music artists and venues in Wikidata.

This session is useful for artists and managers who wish to participate in CAPACOA’s ongoing Wikidata Workshop series.
