CAPACOA has released an analysis report on information systems for the performing arts industry in Canada. While it marks the conclusion of a project initiated last summer, this report continues the ongoing efforts by CAPACOA and Artsdata partners to promote a data-centric digital transformation focused on open data.

Since CAPACOA started delving into digital transformation as a means of fostering data re-use in the performing arts, these two questions have kept surfacing. In July 2020, along with Open North, we undertook exploratory activities to seek answers to these and other data governance questions. AI first needs to be taught what types of live performances exist, and it then requires quality structured data about actual live performances.
