An interwiki link or an inter-project link is an internal link to another project of Wikimedia foundation. Wikipedia, Wikidata and Wiki Commons can benefit one another and more importantly optimize your publication efforts.
This second workshop is intended for artists and cultural workers, beginners and experienced wikimedians alike. It will involve both demonstrations as well as guided practice in breakout sessions. This format will allow participants to experiment with creating interwiki links. Examples will be drawn from the performing arts domain, but workshop contents can easily be transferred to other domains.
What is Wikidata?
It’s a free and open knowledge base linked to Wikipedia. Like Wikipedia, Wikidata is also source of information crawled and trusted by search engines. For this reason, Wikidata can be a powerful discoverability tool.
