DESCRIPTION:The report Indigenous Artists and Wikidata will be launched on April 18th\, as part of a LD4 Wikidata Affinity Group community discussion. \nCo-authors Brit Johnston\, Frédéric Julien and Anju Singh will explain what they learned over their exploration and consultation processes. They will offer a few good practices for populating information about Indigenous artists in Wikidata. And then\, participants will be invited to discuss the reports’ recommendations for the Wikidata community. \nEveryone is welcome to attend. Registration is not required. \nTuesday\, April 18\, 12:00-1:00 p.m. (EDT) \nZoom link \nAbout the event organizers\nThe Canadian Association for the Performing Arts’ Linked Digital Future Initiative deploys a range of activities to leverage the potential of linked data technologies and to foster collaboration along the performing arts value chain. \nThe LD4 Wikidata Affinity Group is an international group of librarians and archivists that shares an interest in using Wikidata as a platform for publishing\, linking\, and enriching library linked data.The LD4 Wikidata group hosts biweekly community discussions on Wikidata\, as well as regular Wikidata Working Hours.
