DESCRIPTION:Wikidata is a free and open knowledge base that Wikipedia\, Google and other search engines use to share information about your orchestra. But did you know that you can add\, edit and contribute to this information? Or that better yet\, you can have these search engines automatically scrape information about your upcoming events? \nJoin us for a step-by-step workshop\, which aims to dive into (and improve!) the data of Canadian Orchestras in Wikidata! Participants will learn how to maximize their digital discoverability\, and have access to the data that contributes to it.  \nThe session will start with a presentation of Wikidata and the batch publishing process. Then\, participants will contribute to data enrichment in small groups\, guided by some of the best experts in the field. \nNo prior knowledge of Wikidata is required.  \nThis bilingual event is for orchestra marketing staff\, those who supervise marketing staff\, and anyone else who has to update their organization’s website and event listings!
