DESCRIPTION:Wikidata is a free and open knowledge base that Wikipedia\, Google and other search engines use to share information about your orchestra. But did you know that you can add\, edit and contribute to this information? Or that better yet\, you can have these search engines automatically scrape information about your upcoming events? \nJoin us for a step-by-step workshop\, which aims to dive into (and improve!) the data of Canadian Orchestras in Wikidata! Participants will learn how to maximize their digital discoverability\, and have access to the data that contributes to it.  \nThe session will start with a presentation of Wikidata and the batch publishing process. Then\, participants will contribute to data enrichment in small groups\, guided by some of the best experts in the field. \nNo prior knowledge of Wikidata is required.  \nThis bilingual event is for orchestra marketing staff\, those who supervise marketing staff\, and anyone else who has to update their organization’s website and event listings! DESCRIPTION:Wikidata est une base de connaissance libre et ouverte. Elle est utilisée par Wikipedia\, Google et d’autres moteurs de recherche pour obtenir des informations sur votre orchestre. Mais saviez-vous que vous pouvez ajouter\, modifier et contribuer aux informations qui s’y trouvent ? Ou mieux encore\, que vous pouvez laisser ces moteurs de recherche récupérer automatiquement les informations sur vos événements à venir ? \nRejoignez-nous pour une activité d’enrichissement de données étape par étape\, qui vise à plonger dans (et améliorer !) les données publiées des orchestres canadiens dans Wikidata ! Elle a pour objectif de sensibiliser les participants à l’importance de la découvrabilité et de donner à chacun l’accès aux données qui y contribuent. \nAprès une présentation de Wikidata et du processus de publication par lots\, tous les participants seront en mesure de contribuer à l’enrichissement des données disponibles grâce à un accompagnement adapté par des experts.   \nIl n’est pas nécessaire d’avoir une connaissance préalable de Wikidata.  \nCette activité bilingue s’adresse au personnel de marketing des orchestres\, à ceux qui supervisent le personnel de marketing et à toute autre personne qui doit mettre à jour le site Web et les listes d’événements de son organisation !
