DESCRIPTION:Sous l’impulsion de son désir d’accompagner le milieu de la danse dans le virage numérique centré autour de la donnée\, le Regroupement Québécois de la Danse a complété avec succès une publication de données descriptives liées à ses membres actifs dans la base de connaissance internationale\, Wikidata.\n  \nCette activité\, menée avec le soutien de CAPACOA dans le cadre de l’activité « Un avenir numérique lié »\, a permis de contribuer à ouvrir la voie à la description du milieu de la danse québécois. Riche de quelque 570 personnes\, cette publication est maintenant disponible à la communauté. C’est pourquoi le RQD souhaite vous inviter à venir enrichir les données sur la danse lors d’une activité accompagnée et personnalisée. \nDescription :\nCette rencontre dynamique autour des données de la danse vous est proposée en deux sessions pratiques. La session du 16 novembre vise à enrichir en priorité les éléments autour des artistes et la session du 17 novembre vise plus les éléments autour des organismes et compagnies de danse. Cette particularité permet d’approfondir des notions propres à chacun. \nLe temps est organisé pour une prise en main rapide et une mise en pratique immédiate des fondamentaux pour la publication d’information et d’image dans Wikidata. Ajouter des informations clés ou ajouter une photo(*)\, tout ça dans une ambiance relaxe. vous pourrez sous la bienveillance d’accompagnateurs inspirants contribuer ainsi à la découvrabilité et au rayonnement de la danse sur le Web! \n\nCes deux dates sont ouvertes tant aux membres individuels qu’aux membres corporatifs et aux non membres\, dans un esprit de partage et d’ouverture vers le milieu culturel. DESCRIPTION:  \nJoin CAPACOA’s Linked Digital Future Initiative (LDFI)\, the Indigenous Performing Arts Alliance (IPAA) and the Manitoba Arts Network (MAN) for a step-by-step Wikidata workshop. This free\, expert-led workshop will focus mainly on Indigenous artists. \n  \nAs a free and open knowledge base linked to Wikipedia\, Wikidata is therefore a trusted source of information for Google\, Bing and other search engines. In this workshop\, participants will learn how to maximize their discoverability by either creating or enriching their own entry. \n  \nParticipants may register to attend either Session A or Session B. SUMMARY:PAIR-CG User Story Workshop with Daniela Rosu
DESCRIPTION:Workshop with Daniela Rosu (PHD) on collecting effective User Stories for developing digital tools in the performing arts.\n\n\n\n\n\nAbout\n\n\nIn this 1 hour workshop\, join Daniela Rosu\, an expert in knowledge representation and reasoning\, as she guides us through the process of collecting effective User Stories\, the basic building block that will form the foundational layer for the entire information representation standard being developed. \nCurrently\, the group is developing an information representation standard for the performing arts. There are many uses for this\, including the potential to impact audience growth by helping to improve the quality of recommendations in online search. Consider\, for example\, the ability for an audience member to search for an upcoming arts experience by a performance company (E.g. a dance\, theatre or opera show) and have relevant and appropriate content returned to the user. \nBuilding software that can solve these challenges about appropriate personalization of search results is possible\, but first we must decide on how to represent core concepts in the performing arts in a way that machines can use. To do this\, we are calling on domain experts in the performing arts (aka. artists\, performers\, creators\, arts administrators\, audiences and cultural organizations) to contribute. \nThis event is suitable for anyone who is looking to contribute to the PAIR-CG\, or who is interested in building a better future for artists and audiences. Participants will walk away from the workshop with a principled approach to gathering User Stories and a template for how they can contribute (either by sharing directly a User Story\, or alternatively by gathering a User Story from an artist or audience member). \nThis work is vital to shaping the future of the information representation standard being developed at the W3C and we encourage all to join us. \n\nPerforming Arts Information Representation (PAIR-CG)\nPAIR-CG is a group designed to collaboratively create digital infrastructure to support performing arts digital tools.
